Jacknife Holiday, formed from the ashes of Strain and Displacement, have come together with a desire to create heavy, aggressive and groovy music. Tipping their collective hats to the likes of Eyehategod, Crowbar and Pantera, the band lay down Southern grooves and ferocious riffing. In the words of Download Festival’s Richard Warrell, “The band finds their form in the simpler moments, getting into the groove of tunes more with an undeniably catchy chug”
This self-released EP, which channels the spirit of NOLA, features 3 tracks of no-nonsense heaviness, trimmed of all fat and excess, that gets straight to the point. In the first week of its launch, the EP received over 1000 downloads, which is no mean feat for a new and unsigned band.
